Value of trees



Trees are very useful to man. They support the life and living things. Trees are needed for making paper, furnish and houses. They are used in everything. When we breathe we produce carbon dioxide. Trees replace this carbon dioxide with oxygen. The green leaves of trees absorb carbon dioxide and break it up into carbon and oxygen. The leaves keep carbon and release oxygen for the use of living beings. Trees prevent drought and floods. Man has cut down trees in large numbers and he is cutting more and more trees. Man must stop cutting more trees, otherwise he will suffer greatly.

Diwali


Diwali means ‘the festival of lights’.  People start cleaning their houses, shops etc. and decorate their houses, shops, streets with decorative lights and diyas. Diwali is a sacred festival for the Hindus.On Diwali crackers are burst, sweets are distributed and kids get lots of fun .On Diwali Lord Ganesh and Devi Lakshmi are worshipped for prosperity. People also worship Lord Ganesh and Lakshmi at their homes as it brings good luck and wealth to the families. Generally, Diwali is celebrated in the month of October and after that, the winter season arrives in the country.

The Postman


A postman is known to all. He works in the post office. The postman puts on Khaki dress. He carries a leather bag across his shoulders. He keeps letters, money orders, parcels, and others. postal things in it. He also carries some letters in his hand. He is friendly to all.  He has no time to stand and talk. The postman gives useful service to us. Though he draws a very small salary he does a lot of work to us. For his service, he is a good friend to us.
