The lion is the strongest animal in the animal kingdom. It is also known as " King of Jungle".

It has high hunting capacity. It is a carnivorous animal . It hunts and eats the flesh of other animals. The average  life span of the lion is 14-20 years. The female of the species is called lioness and the baby lion is called cub. I like this animal very much.

Independence Day is celebrated on 15 August every year. It is our national festival. On this day we remember great struggle of freedom . We also remember the sacrifices of our great freedom fighter like Mahatma Gandhi , Padit Jawaharlal Nehru etc. We celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm. On Red Fort , the national flag of India is hoisted by Prime Minister. Patriotic songs and movies are broadcasted on TV. It is one of the biggest festivals in India.
